This is one of the first questions that I, as a licensed realtor, get when working with home buyers looking for their new home. A school system is only as strong as the team of educators who support it. As a father of two young princesses, I know how important a solid education is to the development of a child. Just like every other parent that has had to deal with the impact of COVID-19 and the educating of their children, I have a new appreciation for what it takes not only to be a teacher but to be one that has had to adapt to an uncertain teaching environment and even higher expectations. This is why I have decided to take the opportunity to recognize our educators and their commitment and dedication to educating our children despite the uncertainty of our current circumstances.
Do you know a teacher who, despite the uncertainty associated with school opening and COVID-19, is doing their best to prepare and adapt for the new school year? If so, I'd like to recognize him or her. For the month of August, I will be recognizing educators who have been nominated by their communities for their commitment to teach, whether in-person, virtually, or a little bit of both in this "new normal".
In addition to recognizing these individuals on my Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin business pages, your nomination will also enter them into a random drawing to win a $100 Staples gift card that they can use to purchase school supplies. Those who take the time to nominate an educator will be eligible to win 1 of 5 $10 Dunkin' Donuts gift cards. Winners will be notified and announced on August 31.
To participate, please email your nominee and the following information to Herman Redd:
